Hailing from Charleston, South Carolina, and a self-described Navy brat, Dan is now a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, stationed aboard the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier home-ported at North Island. He’s part of a team that monitors the ship’s nuclear power reactor to ensure the health of the crew.
A marathon runner since college days, Dan ran the Marine Corps marathon, and others on the East Coast while stationed in Washington, D.C.
As a club member, Dan looks forward to running with the club on Saturday mornings when the ship is at North Island, recognizing that lots of the ship’s time here will be at sea.
Dan is part of a GLBT knitting and crocheting group that meets Sundays at 5 PM at Panera Bread in Hillcrest. All people and skill levels are welcome.
