Brian joined FRWSD in 2008, more than fourteen years ago. It wasn’t long after joining the club that he chose to serve on the Board, for many years he was the treasurer, quietly keeping the club solvent and filing the necessary documents to preserve our non-profit status. More recently Brian was single handedly responsible for completing the necessary by-laws updates and application materials to move the club under the Road Runners of America umbrella, thereby making our organization a charitable non-profit.
Brian has handled the phenomenal growth of our Pride 5K registration over past five years, dealing with technical aspects and customer service. Brian dedicates countless hours into making the event successful, from t-shirt orders, to processing refunds, he ensures our participants have a positive experience.
Brian is an active member of our club, attending nearly every event and always present (though maybe a few minutes late) at our weekly runs. He has a weirdly photographic memory for club members and past co-chairs. For instance, on any given Saturday, he could tell you who has or has not paid their dues for the year, whether they are part of a household membership, and how many years they’ve been around for.
He quietly serves our organization, and his contributions often go unnoticed, but very few have given as much of their time to our club as he has.
