I’ve been a part of San Diego Front Runners for about 7 years and it’s been one the best groups I’ve ever been apart of. The people I’ve met are some of the best people I know today. In a lot of run groups you run and see each other during the workouts and that’s it. With this group I’ve met some of the most genuine people – we travel, dine, and explore together! Everyone is so nice and down to earth and there are paces for everyone. What sets this group apart is the community. What this group is and does for the community is beyond amazing. I love FRWSD!
Frontrunners San Diego puts on the best 5k I’ve ever been a part of…and I’ve raced around the country! The usual route is right down the heart of University Street in Hillcrest with tons of people cheering on all the sidelines with all of their pride gear and props! It’s special to me because it’s one of the first races I’ve felt at home and comfortable enough to wear something rainbow or LGBT friendly! I will always be a part of this race as it’s one of my all time favorites! This year is no exception – except I’ll be doing it virtually and thinking about the crowds cheering me on!
Frontrunners is something that my partner Dave and I look for whenever we enter a new city. It’s always fun to meet people and do what we all love…run and converse with likeminded people. EVERY SINGLE TIME it’s been a great experience. Everyone is always friendly and welcoming.
