*Celebrating Front Runners & Walkers San Diego members and past co-chairs during 2016, the club’s 35th-anniversary interviews by John Lockhart*
Hailing from Canada, Jaden arrived in San Diego last year after a stint in LA, and joined the club “right away.”
During his first year, he ran two half marathons—La Jolla in April, his first, and sans training, “I was a little terrified at the Start, but made it to the Finish,” and AFC in August. But this time he included training runs with fellow club members.
Growing up mostly on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Jaden swam competitively as an early teen. Later he took up kayaking and outrigger canoeing. “I want to compete in the annual outrigger canoe event in Molokai, Hawaii before I’m 40,” he says. Another goal is continuing with 3-5 day camping trips in the Sierras.
“Best thing I’ve done in San Diego, joining Front Runners & Walkers.”
