Cross several footbridges and other bridges around town. The original course is described here. The modified course starts at Front and Spruce Streets (parking is easier).

Course description

  1. West over the Spruce St. footbridge.
  2. Right on Brant.
  3. Right on Upas.
  4. Jog left, then right on Walnut.
  5. Left on 1st.
  6. Cross Washington, then right on Lewis.
  7. Run through Mercy hospital, past the chapel, then take a right downhill. Cross the footbridge that spans the exit of SR-163.
  8. Uphill alongside the 163, then left into the parking lot underneath Washington Street, right uphill on 7th.
  9. Left on University.
  10. Left into the Uptown Center parking lot, go through the lower lot.
  11. Left onto the Vermont Street footbridge.
  12. Right on Lincoln.
  13. Left on Maryland.
  14. Right on Madison.
  15. Left on Park.
  16. Right on Adams. Water at Trolley Barn Park.
  17. Backtrack on Adams to Georgia. Left on Georgia.
  18. Right on Cypress.
  19. Left on Park. Water at the Rose Garden.
  20. At President's Way, run through the parking lot on the left. A footbridge spans I-5, taking you to San Diego High.
  21. Through San Diego High campus to Russ. Right on Russ.
  22. Right on Park.
  23. At the Rose Garden, left over Park via the footbridge. Continue on Park.
  24. Water at Roosevelt Intermediate School. Left on Upas.
  25. When Upas ends, continue on the footpath. At the bottom of the downhill, a footbridge spans SR-163.
  26. After crossing, turn right, up the switchbacks.
  27. Cross the lawn, continue on Upas to 4th.
  28. Left on 4th.
  29. Right onto the Quince Street footbridge.
  30. Right on 2nd. Left on Spruce, and return to start.
